We have been taught to be good stewards of what we have been given, and to use our resources wisely. Lottery isn’t necessarily a part of the teachings. In the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), Jesus teaches us to invest our talents and resources, and to use them for the glory of God.

So, while winning the lottery may be a blessing in the sense of financial security, you must leverage it with wisdom. Your relationship with God above all else is the one thing that really matters the most. Let’s say you win the lottery and use your money to support a local church, feed the hungry, and provide for families. That makes sense, we could say it is God’s own blessings. But if it’s just for your hunger for material possessions, that would not be in line with biblical teachings.

Dear Heavenly Father,
