I had a young couple with two children reach out to our Church. They were in a state of despair, explaining how no matter how much they worked, their situation only got worse. They had started several businesses, invested money, and even tried new jobs, but nothing yielded results. It looked like the harder they worked, the more things would fall apart. But glory to God, the Psalms for breaking curses did wonders in just a few days.
As I spoke with them, it became clear that this was not a case of laziness or lack of trying. They were doing everything physically and humanly possible, but there was no progress to show for. After taking their case to the Lord in prayer, I realized that they were dealing with a spiritual curse—something that could not be broken by hard work alone.

In Psalm 91, for instance, you can see promises of protection and deliverance from harm. When curses, whether spoken or unseen, are lingering, it is Psalms that we recite for deliverance and restoration.
God has given us the Psalms as a weapon of spiritual warfare. So, use them in prayer, just as David did, to break the power of curses and claim victory through the promises of God.

Now, it’s important to remember, as a believer, you have the authority through Jesus Christ to break curses (Galatians 3:13). With faith and the Word of God as your tools, you can break free from these negative spiritual influences.

Which Psalms punish those who cursed me?
Psalm 109 is one of the strongest scriptures for addressing those who speak evil or bring curses upon us. It says, “Let his days be few; and let another take his office” (Psalm 109:8). This Psalm asks God to intervene against enemies, and bring justice.
However, we must also remember the importance of FORGIVENESS in the New Testament. Jesus has taught us to forgive those who wrong us, just as He forgave us. Even Joseph forgave his brothers who cursed him, sold him into slavery, and caused him years of suffering (Genesis 50:19-21).
So, while we pray for God to deal with those who have laid a curse on us, we should also ask for the grace to forgive. When we forgive, we allow God to take full control of the situation.
